Don't be fulled by the Woodlake Apartment's "charming" rental guides showing their only good apartment at their site. If you decide to rent here, don't be suprised when they tell you one thing and then do something else. Do not expect quality, or even desent maintenance work. They will not give you a time when maintenance will show up, and when they eventually do get around to getting to your work order, expect to put in a work order for the same thing not to long after, that is even if they fix the problem in the first place. From the words of one of the maintenance guys here when asked why a door is not shutting he replied, "It is because the building shiftes after it is built and there is nothing that we can do about it." Now there is this "lovely" crack in the celing getting bigger and a buldge in the celing... I wonder when they will even get around to taking a look at the problem, certanily no time soon. If you like living with wasps, come on and move here. The responce that we got when asked if they could take care of wasps in the outside walls and balconies because you are allergic to them was "Oh, we have been having a bad time with wasps this year and we contract out to a pest controll company that comes out a couple times a year." When do they come out' I have yet to find out, but the wasps are enjoying living with you. When repaving parking lots, they will give you the first notification, but if it has to be rescheduled they only notify certian buildings about cars needing to be moved, but with shared parking lots you can bet your paycheck that it will be towed and you expected to pay the towing cost even though you were not notified properly. Water heaters are rusting, if you are "lucky" enough to get a fire place you might as well get a candel to get the same effect. You can hear every word that your neighbor says, and even when you try to walk on egg shells your floor and walls will shake including the apartments around you, so when your neighbor walks around, or has a conversation, expect to hear and feel it all. Hallways are dirty, skuffs and dents on every door and wall, and in the summer expect the hallways to be hotter then the humidity level outside. And as far as their heated pool, they forgot to mention that it is solar heated.... you might as well fill up your bath tub with ice water and dirt... and the edges of the pool, and the surrounding area are caking off and leaving you with shards of crap digging in your feet. And they tell you it is a nice quiet area with quiet time after 10pm, but that is when it just gets started. Several apartments love their parties at any time in the week and you can expect an occational fight to break out after midnight including police being called and people being arrested. I for one cannot wait for the lease to be up here. For their outragous prices, and first impressions until you sign the lease, you will be very disapointed.

Nope. Sorry not management. If I were I probably wouldn't have complained even the little bit I did. I do live at Woodlake. My notices are always posted on my door AND above the mailboxes. No issues there. If you work for "a fire protection agency" and don't know how to check an extinguisher than I feel sorry for your employer. As for waking up- I have had no problem. I'm quite happy here. Maybe you need to wake up and move....

Well, I am glad that some one living here is happy, however some of the topics you brought up are false. It may just be a matter of opinion...but if you did live here you would know that the notices are not put on mail boxes but on your door. You possibly got a decent appartment with respectful neighbors and could be living on the other side of the complex. I too worked for a fire protection agency so thanks for letting me know that someone was messing with the fire extinguishers so now I can be the responsible adult and call the fire cheif and let him/her know about it so that they can be inspected, along with the local building inspector to make sure that the buildings are safe. It is not just my apartment that is having issues. One of my neighbors roof was leaking and needed to be fixed, not that it has actually been done. I do not complain about the water tempature in the apartment, that is fine, what is troubling is the rust on the water heater that has rusted out the floor. It could become a danger. Party people can happen anywhere, this place is not exclusive to monks. Check for the police report from the other week when there were four guys fighting in the parking lot and then at least six police cars showed up, no sirens, just lights, and arrested at least one of those guys. I am not writing this to keep people from living here, just so they know what to expect. Sure, as I said you possibly live in a building that faces the forest perserve and you cant see it, or you may be management trying to "better" the place with your responce. But if you live here you obviously have your eyes wide shut. Wake up and smell the crap.
