If you don't work banker's hours, don't live here. You will not be able to sleep in past 7:30 AM. The perma-construction is still going on around here with nothing to show for it but a hideous new paint job and vomit-colored carpets. Basic services are still broken, and amazingly, maintenance requests go unanswered despite the two dozen strong illegal immigrant workforce they employ. These workers manage to wake me up 4 to 5 times per week, but never seem to fix anything on my behalf.
Do not live anywhere except the top floor. The walls and ceilings are so paper thin you will think people are in the room with you. The person who lives above me is not just loud, but literally shakes and rumbles my walls, floors, and furniture with his movements. I have lived in a number of apartments, and never felt anything like it.
Oh, and the cheap-ish rent (for the area) attracts some awful tenants. I believe they rent to Section 8 folks as well. My neighbors have rather loud domestic assault sessions about 3 times a week, which is a joy to go to sleep to.
Your car will get damaged in the cramped free-for-all parking which is completely unmonitored and sketchy. The immigrant workforce will loiter and smoke around your property and treat you rudely. The underground parking is insanely expensive.
On a number of occasions, my apartment has been entered with no prior notification and no notice left that they were there. I can only tell because my things were out of place and because both door locks were locked when I returned home (I only use one of the two locks, ever).
To add insult to injury, the location is completely lame. Do not live here if you like to do things. If you're going to live this close to the city for this much rent, move to the ****ing city. There is nothing to do here.
In short, living here is perhaps the worst decision I have ever made in my life. I implore you not to live here. I'd welcome some nice neighbors, but please, don't make the same mistake I did.
