This is a letter I recently submitted to management which best describes my experience. Everything that you have read from eview is all true. I am a resident at Hinsdale Lake Terrace which is one of your properties in Illinois. I have been a resident sine September 15, 2005. When I first moved in the apartment was infested with roaches. Some were dead all over the carpet, in the dishwasher, and in the cabinets. No one inspected the apartment before I moved in and I could not inspect because they said it would not be ready until that week. I did make a formal complain when I moved in they gave me the option to move building but who was going to pay for the truck and the movers all over again. At that time moving into another building was not an option. They sent out an exterminator and the problem subsided after a few months. However, after I resigned my lease this year I started having this same problem all over again. I have been making complaints to management (Melissa) for a few months now. The exterminator has been coming out, but no resolution. I asked if they had been getting any other the complaints and she told me no, but the exterminator said that was not true and some of the other apartments were really bad. Melissa sent maintanence over to patch up some holes under the sick which they did with a foam like caulk. (And very poorly I might add) Here it is December and I am having the same problem. I am going to contact a lawyer, the Equal Housing Authority, and the Dupage County Housing Authority, and any organizations that you may get funding from. I want out of this apartment complex. I want out of my new lease without any penalties to me. Due to the negligence of your staff (management and maintenance). I have a small child and this is unhealthy living conditions for any human being. To top it of I was sitting in my living room on Saturday and saw a mouse run across the floor. I called the office and the leasing consultant said there was nothing he could do he would see if the exterminator was still on the grounds. If not he would give me a call or send maintenance over with some sticky pads. He did neither. The exterminator told me he had gotten complaints of mice but I never saw one until Saturday. However, there is not just one. There has to be a crack in the foundation where they are coming in at. I went out and bought poison on Saturday and the next morning the whole bag was empty. They try to uphold this building like it such a great place to live but not hardly. I keep seeing signs saying newly renovated and that??s not true either. If I don??t get some resolution to this problem and soon, I will be over at the leasing office every single day that I am off informing your perspective new residents of the problems I am having. I will also contact the newspapers and T.V. I will tell anyone who is willing to listen to my story. I called today and spoke with Stephanie she said that Rebecca was at lunch and that Julie would be in tomorrow, but I wanted to get the ball rolling on this. I also, explained the situation to her but she did not seem to be really concerned. Probably cause does not have to live over here. Also, when it snowed bad last week or the week before there was hardly any salt put down and the parking lot was like a an Ice Skating rink. That seems to me like an accident waiting to happen. I have a lot more complaints but too many to compile in one email. Let me just start with the major issues and see what gets done
