I have to say, some of the comments are a little over the top. THis is the 2nd time I have lived here. You get a big apartment for the money, it's located centrally by the expressway, it's CHEAP! Yeah, I have checked around before moving back to Colonial Village. There were some fancier places for a little more money, however like I said, it's a lot bigger for the price. Plus I like the location. Best thing is that it's concrete floors! NEVER hear your neighbors!! On the down side, it has gotten more shady here. I used to walk from my car late at night a couple of years ago, and not worry about looking behind my back. However now, I worry a little more now!! They still have not updated. Honestly, don't think they ever will. The NO trim around the wall near the carpet really bugs me. The kitches is from the 60's!(so is the bathroom!) LOL However, you do get a dishwater ;) The kitchens are huge. Bedroom sizes are great. My old 2 bedroom was HUGE!! Great closet space it had to. The parking is a big downfall here. UNLESS you are one of the end buildings. 10pm, it's impossible to find a close parking spot. Another thing I have noticed this time I have moved here also, is that those outside security doors, people leave them open ALL THE TIME!! I HATE THAT! I don't want people knocking on my door who I don't know, or who I dont' want over. They are there for a purpose. And the biggest purpose is safety! Especially being a single female, I don't like it! The bushes/shrubs are all over grown also, VERY unsafe by the doors to get in!! NEED TO DO THIS PEOPLE!! My biggest problem with this place is that it's CONSTANTLY HOT!!!!!!!!!!! I moved in here in March. It was still cold out. Never had to turn on the heat, however in the summer, you need to leave the AC cranked all the time. The windows let a lot of heat in. (Speaking of heat.. never worry about the showers going cold.. VERY HOT CONSTANT water!) But OVERALL.. generally speaking. It's safe enough, it's cheap enough, it's large sized, and the staff really are friendly.
