I called Lincolnshire Properties for more information about the Lincolnshire Ct apartments in Plainfield. I was told to speak with I belive her name is Diane. My first impression was that she was rather determined to dissuade me from even thinking about living in her apartment complex. First, I have to admit my fear is that I was treated rudely due to my perceived age. I am in my mid-20s, and I am relocating from the north side of Chicago to the Naperville/Plainfield area for work.

Upon asking for more information about the apartments, she quickly told me they were all full and she didn't think there would be any openings soon. Eventually she let on that there "may" be something available in a couple of months. After I told her the rent for a 1BR seemed a little high for the area and asked what amenities the apartment featured, she seemed rather clueless as to how to answer the question other than to assure me that they were nice and I could look at the floor plans online (note that after some research I have located their website and noticed that they are unwilling to post any pictures of these supposedly beautiful apartments). When I asked if the apartment had hardwood floors or upgraded appliances or perhaps a clubhouse, she gave a quick laugh and explained no.

I told her again that the price was closer to the top of my desired range and in comparison to other places I have looked at in the area it did not seem to be a good deal. Before I could finish my sentence and ask her if there was a way to see some pictures or arrange a viewing before I cross it off my list she interrupted me and told me "Good luck with those" and hung up the phone.

What bothers me most now that I have found their website is that they clearly have other apartment complexes that are less expensive, yet she showed no interest in discussing these with me. What have other people's experience been with this company' Perhaps I caught an employee on a bad day, but they do not seem like a professional or trustworthy realtor.

Your first impression was totally correct. I rented there and she is rude and actually, a liar. She refuses to give me my security deposit back. DO NOT RENT THERE!!! Diane should be fired immediately.
