My apartment was filthy when I moved in. There was food in the fridge, pubic hairs on the toilet, and finger prints all over the walls. Yet I was expected to leave it perfect when I moved out. I was also asked to repaint, which was not in the lease. It took over 6 months for them to repair my phone jack and other items in the apartment when I first moved in. There are different rules applied to each resident. The counters in my apartment were rotted and the main management office would not replace them for the next tenants. The manager claimed that their apartments are rented on a "as is" basis and no repairs will be done to this counter top. I am disgusted by the way I was humiliated by the office help when I called to make a formal complaint. Complaints are not taken seriously. This apartment is run as if it were a slum apartment. That is rediculous especially when you are paying over $900 a month. Most of the Oaks residents would agree that this complex is poorly managed and tenant satisfaction is far from being a priority.
