I am not even a resident here, but what I just went through attempting to lease here compells me to write an accurate review. I came by last Sunday to take a tour, was told of the 2 bed/2 bath special for $1099/month. I was told the offer was ending at the end of September. I was also told that the admin fee to hold the apartment for would be put twards the rent. I was also told that I can get a one car garage for $100.
I called two days ago to ask a few questions and spoke to the She----- Tara. This ----- needs a new vocation, because it isn't customer service! The rudest person that I have ever dealt with! When I was asking her about the apartment she informed me the special was up at the end of this week, on Sunday the 23rd, and I needed to be signed up by then and pay the $295.00 fees by then or I could not get it for this price. I just was told on Sunday that this was a new special and already it is about to end' Doesn't give you much time to think about it, does it' I told her I do not get paid until the end of the month and could not come up with it until then. I asked if I could either pay it the next week or just give them a post dated check. She refused and told me if she bent the rules for me then she would have to do it for everybody, not to mention that they could get in trouble with the state if they ever found out! Shetold me if I really wanted to move in there I should borrow the money! Tara being the property manager was not even willing to work with me to get a new tennant into her building. I was very upset with her total disregard of how a customer should be treated, and acted as if I had to prove myself worthy to have them consider me! WTF!!! After I calmed down and spoke to my wife I decided I would give them another chance. I called them yesterday to let them know I would be by on Saturday to sign up and could I pay with a credit card. They do not accept credit cards so I said fine, I guess I can get my dad to front the money fopr me till the next week. I also wanted to confirm the price of the garage. She said sorry, that offer expired last wednesday and I would have to pay $125/month. I told her I wanted to come in this Sat. to sign up and was not told this offer was ending three days after I was told of it. She asked me "what do you want me to do about it'" That was it. No ------- was I would ever live there. Every thing they told me during the tour they changed, like a bait and switch. If this is how they treat you before your a tennant, then how are they going to treat you when you are' Stay away unless you like living under a dictatorship ---- regime!

But yet u called today and still want to live here?? No business that i have ever dealt with will hold a post dated check. If you dont have the money, you dont have the money. Or are you special?? Politeness goes both ways. I have lived here for 2 yrs and have never had a problem with anyone in the office.

It sounds as if the property manager acts as a tennant to make herself look better...how immature.

WTF??? If you talked like that to the leasing staff its no wonder they were rude. Post dated checks are illegal! Whew! thank god you didn't sign the lease ... I'm sure water's edge will take you no problem.

I've had many dealings with Tara and the staff and have had absolutely no problems. She and the others have always gone out of their way to help me whenever I needed it.
No place that I know of is going to take a postdated check for rent - especially when they require a money order or certified check for move in. Why should you receive special treatment? Besides which, there are plenty of tennants already, I'm sure she didn't really need you - especially with that attitude!

I agree if you did not have the money then, how would you pay the rent later. This is not a slum lord place this is a nice community and we want to keep it that way. People like you wouldn't think twice throwing paper on the ground. We don't need your kind. Tara and the staff have been nothing but great. You have a very bad chip on your shoulder, you should get rid of it before you cause yourself an ulcer.

We don't need your kind???? The response above was obviously written by management and can be taken as discrimination. This is exactly the snotty attitude the property manager has towards residents.
