To prospective renters,

While the staff at the Sanctuary of Lake Villa are polite, and try their hardest to make your life at their complex as wonderful as possible, they are unable to compensate for the owner, who is nothing more than a pompous and greedy man. I warn you, he is much less concerned about your living conditions, even the affect of his negligence towards maintenance issues on your health, than he is about you re-signing your lease. I feel empathy for the individuals who are employed through him. Furthermore, I encourage you to look elsewhere, you're a profit not a person at the Sanctuary.

All businesses unfortunely are more for profit, but the staff makes up for it. I had the maintence guy dig me out after one of the snows of 8-12 inches. I like everyone working there. They are professional and pleasant at the same time.

Who should I contact to complain about the property manager (or lack of management)? A change needs to be made, and her boss needs to know what is going on here.

The Sanctuary is a BUSINESS. It is meant to MAKE MONEY for the owner...in this case Gary Buschman. It appears to do a fine job of that.

Hordak, you are correct in saying that The Sanctuary is a business and it's meant to make money for the owner. However, they don't need to nickel and dime you for every mistake their incompetent staff makes. They should own up to their mistakes and work on improving. There is a reason why there are so many vacant apartments and incentives for new renters..... no one wants to live here anymore because of all the BS.
