Poor management, rude staff, unethical accounting practices, no parking, unkept grounds (animal waste everywhere)...it's not a "luxury" living at The Sanctuary of Lake Villa.

| I am sorry that you feel that this community is poorly managed. My staff and I take great pride in The Sanctuary, especially because some of us live here too! Since you are remaining anonymous, I would like to have you bring to my attention the "unethical accounting practices" you are referencing. If there is an error on our behalf, I would be happy to address it with you. Parking is tight due to increased occupancy, which is a good thing! In planning this complex layout, the preservation of the wetlands was of utmost importance to making the complex beautiful. However, careful calculations were made on supplying the number of open parking spaces available. From time to time, I do run discounts on garages to allow people to take advantage of reserved parking. With regards to the animal waste, I do agree that it can be a issue and we have even gone so far as to distribute Ziploc bags to everyone to remind people that it cannot be left behind. As a non-pet owner, I do not like to encounter animal waste any more than the next guy so I understand your frustration. I have occasionally hired a temp-worker to scour the property in search for the waste and to dispose of it properly. We do have 5 pet stations currently and change them 3-4 times per week. I encourage those with pets to utilize common sense and pick up after your dogs for the respect of your current and future neighbors and our award-winning landscaping. We do have a strict pet fine structure in place in hopes that the rule-breakers will cease the behavior. If you have alternative suggestions to conquer your issues, please feel free to contact us. | |

I have two words for this response.
Damage control.

Tara, the reason the residents of the Sanctuary wish to remain anonymous is because you and your staff are extremely unapproachable and seriously lack customer service. Your posts encourage residents to bring their concerns to you, however I have brought several concerns to you and your staff's attention without any resolution. Honestly, on several occasions I have been treated very poorly by Crystal - I've seen her roll her eyes when asked a question and stomp off in the middle of a conversation. Therefore, I encourage you, Tara, to take some pride in training your staff on the basics of customer service. During that time, maybe you'll learn something as well. I agree with the last post...damage control.
