It looks like they're cleaning house at The Sanctuary of Lake Villa! Look on their website, only T*ra is listed under the staff section. Crystal and Amanda are no longer pictured...it's about time these coworkers lost their job - they were terrible! I just called the office and someone new answered the phone. Is this a sign of things to come' Let's hope someone is finally taking notice and realizing new management is needed!

Cryst*l, sorry to hear you are out of work. But, what did you expect' You think rolling your eyes and throwing pens when asked a question is appropriate behavior. I thought you knew better than to act like this, obviously not. Good luck finding a job with your lackluster customer service skills.

Keep blogging residents...maybe our voice is finally being heard!

Kind of funny, but Crystal actually left cause she found a better, higher paying job. Can't imagine someone wanting to leave the Sanctuary and not have to deal with a**hole tenants. Glad she doens't have to deal with people who are rude like yourself. How can you say bad things about her, but then go on a website and write a snotty posting?

I agree with the second "anonymous" poster. This is exactly the attitude residents encountered when they dealt with the staff of The Sanctuary of Lake Villa. I can also understand the original poster's frustrations with Crystal. I had several interactions with her and she was very unprofessional. I don't think there is anything rude about this post - it all sounds accurate. If Crystal did indeed find a better, higher paying job, than good for her. I just hope it doesn't involve any kind of customer service and, if it does, she takes this information and learns from it. Honestly, I won't be surprised if Crystal wrote the first response. The use of profanity is not something I would put past her. She's not the most mature person - if she wanted us to have a different impression of her she should have treated us better. It's that simple. Crystal if you are reading this post or someone is relaying this information to you, learn from these comments and become a better person because of them. I'm sure if you really thought about your behavior, you would agree your sour attitude was not necessary.

While I will agree that customer service is a top priority, sometimes you have to take a look in the mirror to discover who is the real problem. I never had a problem with Crystal, Tara, Amanda, or anyone else who has worked here. Perhaps because I treated them with respect, they treated me that way. Obviously at least one person had a problem with the staff at the Sanctuary. Since all the negative responses are listed as anonymous, this could mean one person or many. The flipside is that many people have had no problems. I would highly recommend this apartment complex with or without the current staff. In fact, I would more highly recommend it with them because in the two years that I have lived here I have NEVER had a problem and I like them! Before you reply that I am one of the office staff, I assure that I am not. As a teacher, I am much too busy to take on this job as well.

I have lived here for 2 years so far. In that time I have had nothing but a good experience. The staff have always been professional and helpful with anything that I sent their way. The amenities and the apartment are excellent. The parties and wine tastings that the Sanctuary throws are great. I would rate this complex as excelllent and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

We have lived here for almost four years. The first two years were fine, no complaints. Not sure what happened after that though - if you had even a valid complaint (satellite reception being horrible) you were not only treated like an idiot but they would continually tell you it was how you had your tv set up etc. Come to find out they finally admitted that there was a problem, they knew it was a problem but they weren't going to invest the money to fix it. And it wasn't just us but everyone in our building as it had to do with water in the cable lines underground. They never did come out and let everyone know formally that something was wrong building wide, it was only when we kept pursuing it that we were told that they had known about it for some time. It still isn't fixed and some channels are so bad you can't even see the picture clearly on the screen. Did I also mention you don't have a choice but to either have their satellite service or have nothing. On top of it all you pay a monthly "maintenance" fee for the satellite and we are still trying to find out what they are maintaining - it's obvious it's not the satellite system. Maybe the maintenance fee is going towards the parties and wine tastings that are open to everyone whether you live here or not... bring 10 friends with you if you want. Last time we went we didn't recognize any of these people as our neighbors and found out they were either previous residents or friends of a friend of a resident, but heaven forbid if you want to bring more than 2 guests to the pool to swim. Which brings me to my next issue - why do we have a pool monitor as the pool has been closed 3 times this summer - twice for broken glass. Must be one of the less than stellar residents that squeaked by the credit check to get in here. I know how much I pay for rent, not sure how some of these people pay theirs (oh wait they get awesome discounts when they intially sign their lease and the people who have lived here for years get none of those deals, only increases.) There are tribes of college kids that live in one apartment, with underage drinking, loud conversations out on their balcony at 3am during the week (don't know about them but we have jobs we have to get up for in the morning) and idiots who think the louder their cars are the bigger their private parts are. We are counting down the days until our lease is up, the way things are going with management you could find the equivalent in a trailer park in Park City for much less. It's actually embarassing to see the junkers parked in the parking lot and makes us glad we have a garage so we don't have to worry about one of our neighbors breaking into it.
