Unsafe, Noisy and Poorly Managed

If you are relocating and looking for an affordable place in Northern IL, do NOT even consider Water's Edge. Bonnie will tell you that it's safe, non-section 8, close to a train that will take you downtown and will be remodeled in the Spring. None of the above is even remotely true. The Lake Villa police are here a few times a week. I had the gas cap to my car stolen and gas syphoned out, not to mention the dents from residents that don't really care about other's property. The management staff is rude and very unprofessional. As an added bonus, the parking lot is rarely plowed during heavy snowfalls. I missed two days of work this winter because they didn't begin to plow until after we had about 3 feet of snow. (Even the Fed-Ex truck got stuck.) The washers and dryers fit about 2 pairs of jeans at a time if you are lucky. The money you will save is not worth compromising your safety nor the frustration caused by the apathetic management staff.

I disagree with what this person wrote. I have too lived at Water's Edge for years and never had any problems when the previous manager was here. She always kept up with the snow contractors and I know Ed was always out shoveling the sidewalks and around cars. I have heard that the new manager Bonnie likes to leave early and not come in on the weekends and does not return phone calls. Re: the owners they purchased this property from a company that stole all the $$ and they had to start from square one. I see not bad improvements for what little $$ they have taken in so far.

In case the writer forgot e had a BLIZZARD here last December. Everyone had 18 inches of snow but I and my neighbors made it to work. As far as Bonnie goes. she is here at 7am and still here after 5pm. Anyone else working 10 hours a day? Maybe you should find out instaed of listening to gossip. I never saw Ed do anything but push the snow blower. He had his assistant do all the hard work. Thank goodness he is gone.
