When I moved here two years ago I was initially quite happy. The complex seemed beautiful, well kept, and the staff caring.
The staff cares about getting you to sign a lease, and after that forget it, until it is time to renew that is. Oh, and be careful about signing a lease, they can be really pushy to make you sign without disclosing all details.
My complaints have been compiling over the last two years.
Maintenance is a gamble, some of the guys are good (plumbing and heat/cooling issues are addressed quickly and competently) but I have had multiple maintenance requests about one specific problem and it has still never been permanently fixed. There have been 'repairs' and 'improvements' done to the buildings in the most unprofessional way- check out some of the paint jobs in the hall/lobby areas. Other things (like appliances and probably some elevators) that should be replaced are frequently broken. Simple things like repainting the parking space lines in the parking lot are overlooked. Some tenants have been allowed to keep their junk (broken basketball hoops, unused wading pools)on the patio and it expands into the common lawn area making things look trashy. Oh, and the structure of at least one building is questionable due to obvious water damage.
The Monthly Breakfasts they once offered are now gone (this after about 9 of 12 in the past year being canceled at the last minute).
The office is very often NOT open during the posted hours and people who work 9-5 and need to access the office (to pick up packages, etc.) are out of luck.
Oh, and for all this, my rent went up considerably the last time I renewed my lease. If my rent goes up that much, I expect an improvement, not a considerable decline in the maintenance of the complex and the services offered.

What services would that be? I have lived here for almost two years and hate the place. My lease is up in three months and I am NOT renewing my lease. For what they want to charge me a month, I could live in the Ritz Carlton and it wouldn't cost as much. Look out Better Business Bureau, I am starting to get pissed at this place and when I do, I unleash hell.

I agree and I have only been her a few months. When I was first showed the place I thought it was great. They did a wonderful job fixing up the apartment and leaving out the bad parts. It wasn't until a few weeks after moving in that all the pee stains from the previous tenant's dog came out. I also began to feel that I was living in a ghetto. It is so poorly kept up that I am embarrassed to have anyone in the hallways. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! It is not worth it. For the amount they charge I should have appliances that are not ancient, blinds that work and a clean environment outside of my individual home. This place blows!
