Country Villas

 

I've lived at Country Villas for a year and I am definitely content living here.

Not overjoyed, yet not appalled either.

Let's start with the positives:
-Great location.

There's a park at the end of the block.

Naperville is very close by with all of it's shops and restaurants.

And easy access to rt 53, I-88, and I-355.
-Parking for me was awesome.

There was always a spot right outside my unit.

However I can see where some others are not as lucky and have to parallel park.
-My favorite part about this apartment is my patio.

I'm on the first floor in a 1 bdrm and have a huge patio that opens up to the courtyard and the pool.

The only ones that don't have a big patio are 2nd floor 1 bdrm apartments.

The patio is also nice because it has a divider so it's private.

I've looked at many apartments and none can compare with this aspect.
Negatives:
-Noise.

The building is obviously old and I can hear, literally, every STEP my neighbors above me take.

Every step.

It was vacant for 6 months so that was nice.

However, if they decide to walk around in the middle of the night, be prepared to wake up (if you're a light sleeper).
-It's true that the grass rarely gets cut in the summer.

Once every 2 weeks or so they'd have a crew come out and do it.

But even then, they didn't cut it very low so it was overgrown the majority of the summer.
-Pool.

It's nice to have one, however there are a very limited number of (broken) pool chairs, and the pool isn't the cleanest I've been in.

-It's old.

The bathroom tile, the closets, etc are just old.

There are upgraded units available for a higher price but I haven't seen how "upgraded" they are.
