I am laughing at all of this, because it seems as thought there truly are two Green Trails here, and I have lived in both! On the one hand, you have the wonderfully quiet outer apartments where I and my wife are now. Solid people, great to live with, and not a lot happening out here. It is a truly nice community. That said, we also lived in the Clubhouse area (2844 complex), and can sympathies with what everyone is writing about the place. If there is anything that 20 years of teaching has taught me, it is that often, both sides in a conflict have merit. If you choose to live here, I would strongly advise that you do not live any ware near the clubhouse. Based on personal experience, it is a nightmare with the noise, parking, and less then respectable neighbors. (It would seem as thought the management likes to keep the ?white trash? close to them?and that is fine.) This area also seems to have a very high turnover rate. If it was not for the caring concerns of Mike, we would have left long ago.

Now living in the ?outer colonies? as we jokingly call it is wonderful. We love our neighbors, and are involved with them regularly. This is a very mixed community. With young families, singles, newly weds, and several of us ?twilight yeared? people all interacting, you can not beet the community feel. The physical properties people do a wonderful job keeping the area clean and well kept, and that helps instill the level of pride in the area. I will admit, you do have to turn in work orders several times, especially if you turn them into the office staff, but if you catch one of the physical properties workers, they will do everything that they can to help. After all, as I said, there was truth to both sides. And I must admit that it dose seem as thought something has happened to the level of professionalism with the office staff as of late. It was hard for many of us to see Mike go, but he did move on to bigger and better things. Unfortunately for us, he also took with him a true feeling of caring for the community that has been sorely missed by most of us here. Sue dose what she can, but the new people just do not seem to care about our questions or concerns. I can understand why so many of the people here feel as they do. If you have a problem, just take it straight to Sue and bypass the young lady. (I have yet to learn her name. While that is partly my fault, she has never gone out to introduce herself either.)

I have called Green Trails home for some time now, and plan on doing so. If you are looking at living here, please weight everything here well. My best advice to you is this: There truly are two Green Trails, and I would suggest living in the outer complexes if you do not wish to return here. If you have to get an apartment in the Clubhouse area, make sure that Sue knows you want to be moved to the ?colonies? as soon as one comes open. It will make all of the difference.
