Good place. Bad People

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I have been here almost a year and seem to have made it on the tail end of the "good managment team" and the unfortunate beginning of the "poor management team" that seems to have taken over.
First - the living arrangements: I happen to be lucky enough to have been able to rent one of the outer buildings. This has made all of the difference. I drive past the clubhouse and hear all of the noise and see the limited parking, but the truth is if you get one of the outer buildings you will find it to be quiet and peaceful living. I never have problems finding parking. I never get woken up too early or can't sleep at night due to noise. The issues I had with my apartment upon move in were addressed the next day, even if they were problems that should never have happened. (no lightbulbs in the entire place, broken screen door, no hot water etc.) As a side note, you might have to get used to very loud air conditioners and old washer/dryers and dish washers that make much more noise than they should. But that is something you get used to.
As far as the people: The new management is extreemly unhelpful. They are unfriendly on the phone and downright rude in person. They make this huge stink about paying your rent on the first and only the first of the month, but then they don't bother to cash your check until two or three weeks later which screws up your bank account. The computer center does not maintain useful hours and their breakfasts three days a week are a joke. This might not bother anyone else, but I hate it that they leave flyers taped to and tucked in my door every couple days. If I go out of town for a week or so, everyone around is made aware of my absence by the insecent, never ending advertisements. (there are message boards at the bottom of the stairs for a reason!!) The pool isn't hardly big enough to be called more than a wadding pool but the maintenance crew keeps the grounds looking very clean and it is a pride to live here in the home they are beautifying. They all do a wonderful job!
All in all, I would recommend that if you want to party, live by the clubhouse. If you want to be private, ask for a place in the outer buildings. Also, spend your half hour in the clubhouse signing your lease, but then don't expect any future dealings with the girls there to be anything other than frustrating and unfruitful. Apparently "friendly" is not really a quality they search for upon hiring.
