Good at the start, but slowly went downhill

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2003
I started living at GT from 1999 to 2003, and lived in 2 different apartments. It was great the first year, but as the interest rate dived, more families with children moved out and bought houses. Then the management changed hands, and it got progressively worse over the next 3 years into 2003.
Several of the issues at GT: insects, appliances, late parties at Clubhouse, insulation, pool area littered with beer bottles
Appliances were repaired or replaced promptly. The pool was a problem in 2001-2003 despite the legal notice about liquor, all the staff ignored us, or told us to join the party. With my 3 year old child, I said no thanks.
The lack of insulation was noticeable during the winter. Ended up paying over $100 for heating in the winter. I pay less than that in a house now.
The other aspects of GT were nice: parking, proximity to Naperville shopping, and schools.
If you are a single, then GT may be nice, but if you have a family stay away from this place.
