Never EVER think of moving here. This complex is a squalid hellhole run by incompetent morons. The ONLY intelligent and hard working people employed by AIMCO where the maintenance staff. From day one there was nothing but problems. First when I signed my lease I was promised a 2nd floor lake view w/ no fireplace. The day before moving in (when I went to pick up the keys) they informed me that they had "given away" my apartment and they would try to find me something. I unfortunately ended up with a 3rd floor, scenic parking lot view and a GIANT fireplace taking up half the living room. When I moved in there was no new carpet, they just did a half assed steam cleaning job no light bulbs and paint all over the bathroom. During my unfortunate 2 years they screwed up at least 3 rent payments (even after I switched to auto-pay to avoid their f up's) The walls where so thin, that while I was lying in bed I could hear my neighbor switch their closet light on/off. There was almost NO parking if you arrived home any time after 5:30 pm on a week day, the garbage pick up time was Saturday morning at 7am (always a pleasant way to wake up) and on top of that these people had the audacity to demand a $200 increase to renew my lease. When I asked exactly what it was for I was told, "We're rebuilding our offices and a new gym." Seriously!'! I m paying $200 a month for your workspace and a bunk gym membership'!' No thanks. I moved down the street in February to Arboretum Villages and I couldn t be happier. Unfortunately I m still fighting with these idiots @ Lakeside to get my security deposit back. I actually got an "Oh, the check must have been lost in the mail" response. When I informed them that by law they have 45 days to return my deposit and I now have the right to take legal action, they seemed to move a little quicker. Word to the wise NEVER NEVER MOVE HERE!!!!!
