Lakeside was a horrible living experience. Just a sample of things we had to put up with...here is an exerpt of a letter of grievance written to Lakeside/AIMCO (I've ommitted the building number):

"We would like to take the opportunity to express our many grievances with Lakeside and AIMCO since our occupation of XXXX-XA one year ago (3/15/2007). Attached you will find a detailed and dated list of these grievances, with photographs included to back up our claims. These items vary from Lakeside s violation of the lease terms (i.e. construction workers unlawfully entering apartment without notice, using XXXX-XA restroom, changing locks on doors without properly notifying and verifying if ANY tenants had new keys) to malfunctioning fire alarms going off in the middle of the night on two occasions.
Please review the attached list and pictures included.
We would also like to address our dissatisfaction with Lakeside office and management. After unintentionally not paying the complete amount (lacking utilities) it was a 3 month window before we were notified in any form, with 5 days to pay eviction notice at the end of our lease term. Out of three tenants, none were notified by letter or phone of these late items, nor were these displayed at all online or clearly on our statement. We were not aware of these charges (which were paid immediately) until an eviction notice had been placed on our door. We were told that each time rent was paid, it covered the said amount and that s why we were not notified. While I cannot complain of paying rent in full, it is certainly dissatisfying to see the lack of care on Lakeside s part to (continually) not notify their tenants of locks being changed, construction workers walking into your apartment unannounced while you re sleeping in the early morning hours, and outstanding payment that we were not properly notified on. On top of which upon our move out, the inspection person onsite accused us of pet stains on the carpet. We have never owned nor had a pet in this or any other Lakeside residence. Severe allergies forbid it on our end and the accusation alone is enough to infuriate, let alone the threat of being charged for replacing it. Much of the distress on the carpet was from construction crews, replacing windows, changing fire protection devices and oh yes, using our bathroom and not flushing the toilet on several occasions. It is these reasons we will not continue our residency here, as we have time and time again been left out in the cold by this management staff both figuratively and literally."

All on top of this we had the fire protection crews come into our apartment at 8 am unannounced. Being two female residents, waking up to strange men walking around your apartment can be quite a disturbing experience. Absolutely uncalled for...

Haven't had a response yet, but don't care at this point. Really a low class place to live.
