Lakeside is not worth the trouble. The apartments have been painted and supposedly renovated, but this is the poorest quality workmanship I have ever seen. The baseboards do not line up, there are wooden blocks and tack strips under the new carpet - the installers were too lazy to sweep before installing the carpet and nobody bothered to check.
Parking after 8pm is impossible; I normally have to park 5 or 6 buildings down when I get off of work. And this has been true ever since I moved in. The building across from me had a fire and has been empty. This has helped parking some, but I still have quite a walk when I get home.
Laundry' That's a joke. There are 2 machines on the first floor. In my building, the people on the first floor use it as their own private laundry room. Since I have to take my laundry outside and down two floor anyway, I just go to a laundry mat. Much easier and quicker.
The complex is relatively safe, although I have 2 nice door dings on my new car from the crowded parking, and can smell smoke, drugs and food quite often when I come home. I will be glad to leave when my lease is up - maybe find a place where I can do my laundry inside my apartment and not have to walk 1/2 a mile when I get home from work.
