Do you see the one star' That's being generous to this horrifically awful apartment complex. I would give them NEGATIVE 5 stars were it possible. And it dawned on me over the course of the year I existed (can't call it living) there that the REAL problems come from AIMCO, the parent company that manages -if you can call it that- this complex.
First, the staff are not only discourteous and disrespectful, they are outright liars and cheats. They operate like a sleazy rip-off used car lot, all smiles and friendly, telling you whatever they think you want to hear, until they get your lease signed and deposit your check. I'll give you an example; I went there and looked at a unit, and it was deplorable. The carpets looked like they had been vomited, urinated and defecated on for 5 years without a cleaning. The walls weren't much better, and were unskillfully patched in many places. Everything had an aspect of cheapness and low quality. I said so. The liar showing it to me assured me that it was an older unit slated for remodeling, and that the last tenant had just moved out and they hadn't had time to clean it up yet, and she was only showing it to me to give me an idea of the floor plan, as no vacant units were available. But she assured me that by the move in date there would be several units open, recently remodeled and pristine. For me the location was near to work, I was working a lot of hours and just didn't have a lot of time to shop around, and I took her at her word. So we discussed the price, I signed a lease, wrote a check and started packing. Two weeks later I arrived in a rental truck with my stuff, went to the office to get the key, and was taken to the exact same unit, in the exact same condition. I told them there was a mistake. They said no, no mistake. I told them it was unacceptable. They said they had my deposit and a signed lease, that's all that was available. I was in a bind, it was late on a Saturday, so I let them get away with it.
Since that day, I got nothing but attitude (they treat the tenants like cattle).
The manager had the gall to call me to the office about a month into the lease saying that the one month security deposit was a mistake and they needed another half month additional. I told them that even if they hadn't defrauded me the way they did I would never agree to that. She got nasty and threatened to evict me and keep my deposit. I told her she could discuss it with my lawyer. She said an AIMCO lawyer would contact me to begin eviction, I told her that would be preferable and walked out. I never heard back about that issue. That did however begin a series of snipes from the management.
After I was there maybe 4 or 5 months, all of a sudden I started getting notices shoved under my door that I had to get a parking sticker for my vehicle (even though the lot that I parked in was -never- more than half full, and no cars there had stickers), and the office never had any to issue (in fact most employees there looked puzzled the two or three times I stopped by to get one, like they never even heard of parking stickers). So soon I started getting tow stickers stuck to my windshield every other day or so. I just tore them off and drove to work. Childish and idiotic.
In the winter when it snowed, only about half the place would get plowed and salted, making the hill I had to drive up and down to park in front of my unit impossible to safely navigate. So, in the worst weather, I had to park half a block away. Requests for adequate snow removal were met with sneers, eye rolls and I was even laughed at.
These are just a few examples, there was so much more .
And finally, when that lease expired, and a cheerful employee knocked on my door with a big smile and a lease renewal, I almost went hysterical. Needless to say there was no renewal. They did however lie like the cheating scum they are and claim I left the apartment filthy and strewn with garbage, when in fact it was cleaner than when I moved in with not a single item left behind, and they used this an excuse to rip off my over one thousand dollar security deposit. I should have sued. I wish I had. If I wasn't so busy with work at the time I would have.
Bottom line... move along, you don't want to live in Lakeside Apartments, or any building managed by AIMCO.

I can't believe they made you pay a thousand dollar deposit when they are usually only $200.
