NEVER live here!!!

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
I lived at Four Lakes for a year, and I will NEVER live there again. I moved to Illinois and looked for a place close to work. I was satisfied at Four Lakes until recently. They converted my building to condominiums at the beginning of 2002, and it went downhill from there. They asked us to remove everything from our closets and shuffle our furniture around. I went out of town when they conversion first started. When I came back, I saw dirty hand prints on the walls and little pieces of wood, metal, etc. on the floor. I also noticed that my vacuum cleaner was also dirty. There was dirt all over it, including dirty hand prints. I was lead to believe that my vacuum cleaner was used to clean up the drywall and other objects on the floor. Letters were then sent notifying us of the changes and when they were to take place. The doors were replaced about three days after the letter indicated that they were to be replaced. There were pieces of wood on the floor when I came home from work the day the doors were replaced. Another letter was sent to us indicating that we were to remove all items within five feet of the windows, so they could be replaced. This letter was only sent a few days before we had to remove all the items. I stayed up late the day before they were to replace the windows, so I could remove all my items on time. My living room became extremely cramped with boxes and bookshelves stacked away from the windows. The windows were to be replaced approximately five days later than the scheduled date. Two letters sent on different occasions have been sent notifying us of the repainting of the parking spaces, asking us to not park in certain lots. The second notice was sent out just a few days before they repainted the lot. I was out of town for the second ordeal, and my car was parked in one of the spots to be repainted. My car was towed while I was gone and I had to wait and take time off of work to locate my car. I sent a letter with photographs to the manager, describing the handling of the conversion of condominiums of my apartment. Approximately two weeks later, I went to the management office and asked the manager about the letter. I also related to her recent events that occurred since I sent the letter. Relating to the manager these events, I explained that upon coming home from work one day, I noticed that my vacuum cleaner was used again, and the floor was still cluttered. Another day, the radio was on. The manager then informed me that she would email the construction company my complaints and would have my apartment cleaned. Later on, the stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator were replaced without my knowledge. When I came home from work that day, there were dishes on the counter and rearranged food items in the refrigerator. To top it all off, I came home from work one day, and my vacuum cleaner was missing. I called the manager and she explained to me that no one had been in my apartment, although there were new dirty footprints on my carpet. My vacuum cleaner is still missing. The manager has been extremely difficult and rude to me as I am trying to remedy the situation. I recently moved out and will be thankful when I don't have to deal with them again.
NEVER EVER live here!!! They are overpriced, rundown, and have the worst management.
