Don't Live Here

My husband and I lived here for two years. While I realize all apartment complexes have their challenges, and that there will never be an apartment manager who can cater to the needs of all residents, Villages on Maple was subpar on too many areas--and areas of basic resident needs.
We had a bad ant infestation, and when we called to ask for an exterminator to come over, the rude woman in the office (and all the women in the office are rude) told me that the exterminator had just come last week, he was scheduled to come again in a month, and we'd have to wait until then. When I asked why he couldn't come again, since we had the problem NOW, she said they had a contract and bringing him out again on an unscheduled time was costly. Nice! So we set a gazillion ant traps and remedied the problem--and in the month's time, an exterminator never showed.
We also never had screens on the upstairs bedrooms, or in the screen door, despite asking for them several times.
When we first moved in, the door didn't lock, and it took over a month for the problem to be fixed.
We had a package delivered to us that sat in the leasing office for FOUR MONTHS before we were told about it.
The management changed the parking requirements to the grounds, didn't tell any of the residents, and we woke up one morning, along with about 15-20 other residents, whose cars had been towed unfairly. We all missed several hours of work and had to go collect the cars from the towing location. While management did pay for the towing costs, we never received an apology.
The garbage dumps right outside the apartments are appalling: on warm summer days, the hordes of flies are unbearable, and the stench atrocious.
Any maintenance requests took weeks and several reminder phone calls before they were tended to.
AC in the townhomes works on the first floor, but on the second floor, it is stifling in the summer. Having windows only one one side of the building allows for absolutely no ventilation. We also could always hear both neighbors to either side: going up and down stairs, their television, and sounds of them in the bathroom. (lord above.) The ventilation was also bad in the way we could smell our neighbor's cigarette smoke all the time.
