The entire office staff is very ignorant. There is constantly litter everywhere. Parents do not attend their children at all. The screaming, swearing, fighting etc never ends. Dog owners are very irresponsible. The entire area is poorly lit and gives an unsafe feeling to any women that come here. The ventilation is horrible. Everything is maintained in half ass fashion. I can keep going but my fingers will get sore from typing. Fact is, this place is quite the mini ghetto and we're embarrassed to even turn into the parking lot. I feel for you. I escaped from the Villages 2 years ago...even leaving a month early and paying on 2 places for one month. Don't you love seeing the Section 8 residents shuffling" around when you get home after a long day at work? We were also embarrassed to turn into the parking lot. The place is a GHETTO. Our immediate neighbors were hard working, normal, rent paying people...thank goodness. I would not recommend the "Dumps on Maple" to any hard working individual. It's worth it to a pay a bit more somewhere else to feel safe and not be around that scum. We couldn't believe it when we moved and the people around us at our new place were actually home and settled in at a resonable time as they had to go to work the next day. Be careful too, because they will come after you for everything when you move out...no matter how well you clean your unit. I hope your lease is up soon.

It's good to know that I'm not the only person that feels this way! My lease is over with at the end of August and I CANNOT WAIT!!!! While I know for a fact that they do not accept section 8 vouchers (you can check with the DuPage Housing Authority for all apartment communities that do) you really cannot tell by looking at the place. I heard kids outside Monday morning screaming and hollering at 7AM!!!!!!!! Who is watching these children?!?!?!? While it hasn't been totally horrible, I was done when they created this "method" of paying utilities based on space and not the number of people in the apartment. Does that really make ANY sense? I will be moving to the Schaumburg area and cannot WAIT!
