I lived here @ International Village for a year. I reneted a 3 bedroom w/ a roommate for 1595$ (at the time). Overall, a great place to live. I've lived in many apartments, and they have some great amenities. I don't typically use amenities, so.... they have an indoor/outdoor pool, free billiards, free ping pong, movie nights, decent workout facility, his/hers & co-ed sauna, and a whirlpool. They also offer free aerobics, and have tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball. Not too bad, until you consider you're probably paying $200 a month for the amenities.
Crime didn't seem to be a problem. I lived in Nottingham, near the bar, so it was loud almost every night. My bedroom faced roosevelt road, so not only noise pollution, but also light pollution was a problem from the Toyota dealership's spotlights hitting the window directly.
Parking was plentiful, laundry facilities almost always left my clothes wrinkled. Office hours were great (6am - 10pm.... wrocks!).
Overall... its a great place to live if you can afford it.
