Have lived here for a long time and thought the utilities charge would be reasonable,but they have gotten out of hand,We werent told we were paying for empty apartments too! Between the rent and the unfair utility costs it would be cheaper to get a condo!We I called the office to question the sudden increase in utillities all I got was a line of BS!

765 ILCS 735 Rental Property Utility Service Act - It is illegal for them to hold a monopoly on a utility service, such as water, and profit from it. Total bills to the resident CANNOT exceed the amount they pay for the water.
765 ILCS 740 Tenant Utility Payment Disclosure Act - They cannot demand payment for shared utilities unless they disclose the formula used and provide copies of the Master
