At a glance, Aspen Court seems like a great choice. The buildings are fairly new, they offer free cable and internet, and there's even a brand new fitness center. However, it is not worth dealing with the management. My roommate and I were gone one weekend. When we came back, we had a fine notice for trash in front of the apartment. This is not a residence hall. I do not believe that everyone in a building should be fined for one person's lack of responsibility. The management treats tenants like children not customers. There is no respect. Also, the free internet is a joke. It only works 1/2 the time. Sometimes, it is out for an entire day. Parking is terrible. There is almost no visitor parking available. Most the time, guests have to find other places to park (which is NEVER close to aspen). If you are considering Aspen Court, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

The Internet has only worked intermittently since move in in August. When you call the office you are either totally ignored or talked to like a child for the price we are paying for these apartments you would think that they would show some respect. As renters the people in the office including the manager actually work for the owner and we are the ones paying the bills so essentually they work for us the residents also. After the move in day from hell and I do mean hell you would think they could pull it together. They send out move in notices telling you to be there at a certain time and place then its ok for them to show up 3 hours late. Not our problem they had two people working 115 move ins, no orginazation whatsoever. Also dont go to the office or call as you are virtually treated like a vagrant that walked in off the street. The girl at the front desk would rather sit there and talk to her buddy who happened to stop by than to take move in money or explain anything because her friend is there to shoot the breeze, yes this happened twice. Bottom line elsewhere is a good place to look if you are wanting to rent in Macomb.
