Watch which apartment you live in!

I've lived at CM for two years now, the first place I lived in was a 2 bed /2 bath, my unit was pretty decent and no major problems (besides having a horrible roommate). My second year I moved into a 2 bed/ 1.5 bath and have had nothing but problems. When I first moved in my utility closet was flooded (I lived in the basement, leak came from the 3rd floor), the toilet in the full bath was loose from the floor, and the entire unit had a musty smell to it. A few months after we moved in we got a big rain and part of the apartment flooded ( a bedroom and the kitchen) they took care of it pretty quickly but my roommate had to live in our living room for about two weeks while we waited for her room to dry and for the carpet to be tightened back up. After that we didn't have any leaks so we thought it was taken care of, wrong, spring came and it flooded again, we caught it early enough where it didn't leak too much but a few days after that it flooded again in the middle of the night and half the apartment flooded. I had enough after that so I requested to be moved and they did put me in a different unit (not in the basement!), so far I haven't had any issues with the new place ( besides a clogged bath tub drain), hopefully it stays that way. During the time that I've had problems with my place the management and maintainence have been very helpful, they even came at 3 in the morning when my apartment was flooding. The noise can be pretty bad but some of it is expected since it is college apartments, I think some of it does get a little out of hand, especially when the smell of alcohol and pot is seeping into other peoples apartments and tenants take the party into the halls. Overall it is a decent place depending on which apartment you get into, try to steer clear of the lower level units!
