Turnberry: not awesome, but good

I've lived in Turnberry since fall of 2008, and I have no plans to move. The apartments are in good shape, spacious, with a good floor plan. I like having the laundry just off the kitchen. In terms of space: I have a piano, five bookcases, and a king-size bed, but I'm not at all crowded. I'm on an end, so I have an extra window in my master bedroom, which I like. Turnberry II is very quiet, and the grounds are managed quite well (regularly mowed, snow shoveled, etc.). Construction is apartment-quality, but quite well done. Appliances were included, and are in good shape. Carpet is rather generic beigey tan, but in good shape. My only gripes are minor ones: landscaping needs some work. The soil around my aparment is clearly just clay fill, although I've been able to get some plants to grow and there is quite a bit of shrubbery etc. already in place. There are some dead trees that need to be cut down, live trees frostheaved that need better care, the pool is rather small (but kept in good shape), and the dumpsters are too visible (although they do have some privacy screens installed around them). The bus comes right by the complex, there are several restaurants within walking distance, and there is lots of parking. I did add an extra towel bar in the bathroom, some hooks for hanging plants on my patio, and I added lights to my ceiling fans, a simple do-it-yourself job with $40 per light (go to Ace hardware). I do hear my upstairs neighbors a bit when they come home from the bars at 3am, but I have a piano and have never had any complaints from neighbors about noise. Turnberry II is apparently quieter and less disorderly than Turnberry III. Seems very safe, but 6'6" males don't usually worry about safety.

To make it awesome, I'd have some buildings smokefree and petfree, I'd put a little more attention into the landscaping, and I'd have a bigger pool. Oh, and free backrubs would be nice too!
