There are still large families, 7 to 10 people living in 1 to 2 bedroom apartments. The laundry facility is always filthy and also the hallways. SunnySide Apartments - I live in the Sunny side apartments, which used to be the Pheasant Roost apartments. It may be under new ownership but hasn't gotten any better. There are still large families, 7 to 10 people living in 1 to 2 bedroom apartments. The laundry facility is always filthy and also the hallways. Worst place in Marengo! I used to live in Marengo at Pheasant Roost Apartments. It was the worst place I have ever lived. The rent was too high, the hallways were filthy with cigarettes, beer cans, smelled liked urine, and sometimes even drunks sleeping it off at various times
