You need to get out of there if it is compromising your familiy's health. As a veteran, don't you still get free lawyers, etc? You should talk to someone about this because you're probably breathing mold spores and that can get you REALLY sick.

Sounds good, my family is already planning to attend the May 15th get together- I may bring some handouts of the funding they receive and don't let us know about. We took pictures of the mold in our place too a long time ago. I hope that News 8 On your Side does come to help us because this has been very unfair how we have all been treated. If this place was apprasised it may have something to do with the fact that Pheasant Ridge has appealed paying their state and local taxes. The City Council meeting on March 28th posted online indicated that they are trying to get out of it and the Mayor of Moline is stepping in because residents in Moline have to make up the difference if they don't pay. This place recieves tax credits every year too. They may have recieved over $6 million in some sort of grant or loan from the QCREDA recently to do improvements. I tried finding out for sure but got no response. They won't even provide us with habitable living conditions so if they did get money somebody kept it. Discrimination is not allowed either and I hope that the company gets what they deserve and publically. We are a hard working family and I don't appreciate them taking all this money from us and others and treating us all like garbage!

They are fighting their taxes because they are being charged taxes as if they are a market rate complex instead of a tax credit complex. Your right the owners are Matt and David Starr from San Antonio, TX but does anyone know how to get a hold of them and if we did get a hold of them would they care to hear about the problems going on or would they take Cohen Esrey's side????

This property was really great at one time. I moved in when it first went to being tax credit and it was a nice place to live. I got a renovated apartment with new paint, carpet and appliances. There was a young lady working in the office and she ran it by herself for a few months. I can't remember her name but she was really great. They also had 3 maintenance guys who were all retired Deere and they were awesome! But about 6 months later, everything changed. They let go all the maintenance people and replaced them with some big dude from Kansas, he was nice but real lazy and took alot of shortcuts. (this is when it was the LYND company that managed) The girl that started there left because she was having a baby and they put some teenage ditz in charge of the property. I moved out the day my lease was up. That was in 2006. I have heard the property has gotten way worse. Good luck with getting things repaired. I heard that they have had so many shifts in management because the property owners don't pay the management companies and they all quit. It sounds like the employees hands are tied and it isn't their fault. it is the owners fault.
