Premier....never, ever again

I rented from Premier Properties for a little over a year, at the location known as Monticello Estates, or "the big brick building with the neon 'Praise the Lord' sign". For an efficiency, I paid almost $400 a month. When I moved in, they made a nice little list of all the things wrong with the apartment that they said would be fixed within a week. As of the date I moved out, over a year later, NOT ONE of those things were fixed. During my time there, I dealt with no hot water for almost two weeks, the failure of Premier to pay the outside power bill, rendering the outside of the building and parking lot completely unlit (spiral staircase in pitch black is a lawsuit injury waiting to happen), no hot water (again), and when the faucet in my bathtub broke and I could not turn the hot water OFF...that is, it ran continuously at full force...it took me 3 days to even get hold of the maintinence people. They did not turn the heat on in my building until Mid November and I had to run my oven to even heat my place. Parking was a nightmare. They offered to rent a garage for an additional $50 a month, but I don't know how a car would fit into one of them. They don't care who they rented to and my building progressively became a slum...screaming fights outside my window all hours of the night, theft, etc. Premier is a terrible landlord to rent from...avoid them like the plague. I did not recieve my deposit back, but I considered myself lucky to just get out in one piece. Now I'm moving back to the QC, and searching the classifieds, blacking out any property with Premier's phone number.

My daughter just moved into this place 1-08 and it has changed - has onsite management and new furnaces, evicted the problems and painted and carpeted.
Coming from the area of the country she lived in, it appears to be a great deal!
