Very close access to 90 going into the city and not bad access to parks in Shaumburg. A/C and Heating bills were very high, up to $120-130 in winter for a one bedroom. Also, the cable system is bad and only offered through their provider. I had to buy DSL through SBC which meant adding a telephone line that I didn't need making my internet/telephone bills around 80/month.

Airplanes would make the place shake. late night international flights were the worst and rainy days since the planes fly low. Pretty much had to put people on hold if on the phone because of noise.

Parking was a breeze. Neighbors kept to themselves and didn't want to socialize.

I lived in an upgraded apartment with nice carpet and nice amenities. Moved to Evanston and found a much better deal closer to the lake and all utilities included for $50/month less rent.

Outdoor porch was nice for grilling and jet plane watching. Remember your earplugs when you move in! My parents visited and couldn't sleep because of plane noise.
