We have lived here for 2 years and HATE it! The first year was bearable but the second year has been HELL. The Village inspector came and found several infractions, none of which have been fixed. We had roaches because the Colony lets anyone live here. As a woman, I would not walk in the parking lot alone after dark. We had mold around our heating/AC unit and instead of killing it, they wanted to simply paint over it and if you know anything about mold, you should know what it has to be killed or it will come right back. Our bathtub has standing water because it is so worn down and the white enamel is coming off in several places revealing black underneath. They REFUSE to fix saying it is only a cosmetic problem. It took 1 1/2 years for management to evict a young guy who partied every single night. Residents called the police on him several times because of underage drink and fighting in the parking lot. Still, management did not evict him until it appeared in the newspaper. Also, if you have an excessively loud neighbor, do not expect management to even send warnings to them. I have had an ongoing problem with the guy upstairs since last summer. He plays his music day and night. Management says they cannot call him because they have no contact info. for him. They knocked on his door once but he refused to answer so mgmt. told me there is nothing else they can do. Last week the guy flooded our apt. and they took no action against him. If you would like to E-mail me to ask questions, feel free.

TO "THE GUY UPSTAIRS": You obviously don't mind living in a dump but I do. You can say what you want about me but there are plenty of people willing to back me up about The Colony and about you. I also have pictures of most of the damage I speak of, including the damage you caused when you got drunk and flooded my kitchen.

The lady was the problem. Incident happens like flooding, but the lady problem with every little thing. She is way too sensative about everything. Lady if you have all this problem w/ apt complex than try buying house than complaint. House house will be the biggest dump or try renting apt in high rise where you over $1200 for 1 br apt. You get what you pay for loser.
