Hell on Earth

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
It all started when we went to pick up our keys. We walked in (stuff all packed and truck ready to go) to sign the lease and the rental agent told us "oh, I meant to call you, your apartment isn't ready becuase they had a water pipe burst and had to fix it." So, they crammed us (myself, my fiance and my 4 year old son) into a 1 bedroom for 2 weeks (right before Christmas) and never once did they apoligize for the inconvenience. When our apartment was finally ready we had to move all of our stuff, once again. We got into our apartment and the counters were dirty, the carpet was incredibly old and worn out already, and oh, did I forget to mention the roach infestation' For the 3 weeks while we tried to unpack and make the apartment into our new home we had to deal with roaches and the exterminator coming by once a week (all of this they failed to mention when we signed the lease). They only came once to fix the nails that were protruding into the cabinets their maintenance crew had just poorly installed and they never fixed anything else that was on our move-in inspection sheet (toilet runs, knobs missing from cabinets, shelves missing from refrigerator and freezer, etc.). A few weeks after we moved in the supposedly brand new dishwasher started squealling loudly and barely washes the dishes. They never put ice down in the winter, mys on slipped down the stairs at least 3 times in one winter, and whenever they trim the hedges they leave all of the trimmings all over the walkways for at least 2 days. The electricity fades pretty badly sometimes (most likely from bad interior wiring), and the so-called heating and air-conditioning units that take up an entire wall in both the living room and master bedroom couldn't heat or cool a closet. Not to mention the water damange that magically appeared on our master bedroom ceiling about 2 months after we moved in (we're almost certain it's a resurfaced stain) and the "brand new" cabinets they installed started falling apart about 6 months in. So, all in all I'd say this is the most poorly managed apartment complex I have ever experienced in my entire life.
