All staff are very nice. Big pound makes some smell.

The only reason the gas bills are high still is because Nicor (the gas provider) is about 3 months in their billing cycle. Come November or December the gas bills are a lot lower.

I live here and have for the last 3 years. My gas bill is NEVER lower in November and December. Nicor maybe the "gas provider" but the problem is with AUM, the "utility management company." You are not only billed for gas for heat but also for gas for heating water - baths, showers, running water in the sink, and dishwashers. Also, if it is accurate to say that they are 3 months behind in their billing cycle, wouldn't that mean that the 1st three months you lived there, you paid for someone else's usage? The whole system is crap.

Huge Mistake if you move in here! Please Read my entire story prior making a decision to move here. I read some of the earlier posts and decided to move in here. I was shown a model display of 1 and 2 BDR Apts. Upon my further interest to rent an apartments (as some good reviews were in back of my mind) The office staff told me that the only apartments that were available were the ones facing Busse Road. In summer of year 2006 is when I moved into one of the bldgs facing Busse Road. Upon my moving into the apartments all my excitement died out the same day and I was sadden and deeply shocked to learn that, per the leasing office staff statement the 6 years old Carpets (where dogs and Cats are allowed) was not replaced and cleaned. My Rent was $850 plus extra $85 as tax. Further as my move in proceeded I started to open up blinds to look outside the window. Where I got another shock. The Bedroom window was broken and if attempted to open could fall off. The next day of my move in I began to call the leasing office and spoke directly with the manager (there are Benetta and Joan fromer manager) . After giving me months of fake promises I was very bluntly told NO! The cracked and windows will not be replaced. The manager said on several occassions that there were a total of 9 apartments she needed to fix but does not have a window supplier and hence the window will never be fixed!!!! Then came the winter of 2006. It was soo cold insisde . Always 50 degrees. Because of draft coming from the padio door and broken windows. I would keep up the heat to 90 degrees such that the temp in the apartment would be 65 degrees. I called many times to the leasing office to get the heat fixed . But every single time it was a horrible failure. The Maintanence man can't figure out how to fix the heat so he came with a scotch tape annd permenantely taped up all the edges of the broken window and padio door. That brutal winter went by in this struggle. Its 2009 now and I still have problem with my heat and drafts coming from padio door and broken window. And by the way the padio and the window are permanently sealed to never be opened again Other problems that everyone will experience if they move in Forest Cove apartments. 1) No Salt or sonw removal id done during winter 2) The front apartment door - Main door and also the sub floor apartment door closes very loudly. To imagine how loud it can be is a wall hanging can fall off when the floor exit door closes. 3) Busse Road is not a normal quite neighbourhood road but rather it is the one that connects to I-90 interstate. It is extremely noisy with added noise of hawnking of the Cars and Trucks. 4) Randomly Cars have broken into for stealing. 5) There is also for some reason which I do not know why but cops are here a lot. Some times its like 5 to 6 cars with their signals turned on and it very scary to see all this and still pay $850 per month for 1 BDR apartment. Please look for a place somewhere else where your money is fully worth your spending it.
