Used to be nice but going way downhill

Beware when reading positive reviews from a year or two ago -- this place used to be nice but is going way downhill. We moved in over a year ago and at first were pretty satisfied with what we were getting for the price, since it is a pretty cheap. The pet policy is good because there aren't too many places that let you have larger dogs. Most of our neighbors were pretty friendly and relatively courteous, but most of them have moved out. There are always parking spaces, even if you have to walk a little it isn't that far. The walls are not too thin, which is nice.

However, we have seen the quality of this place go way downhill since we have lived here. Cars are broken in to on a weekly basis. We have had things stolen off of our patio. There is no longer a volleyball net and grills in the back -- they let the volleyball court grow over with weeds and the grills are all rusted out, so they finally took those out. That area has become a place for drunks to pass out. There are lease violations everywhere -- people are putting in air conditioners and boarding up windows, people are fixing cars in the alleys, and many of our new neighbors are noisy and inconsiderate -- one apartment in particular seems to have friends that can't use a doorbell, because every day someone is standing below their window, directly in front of us, screaming at them to open the door, sometimes for 10 minutes. Two bedroom apartments have 5 or 6 people living in them. In the winter people do not pick up after their dogs. The "creek" that runs through the middle looks nice at front by the fountain, but the water in back is stagnant and smells bad when it is hot outside. You cannot even enjoy the pool because it is taken over every weekend by obnoxious people who think they own it, invite all their friends over, and get drunk. With the exception of the head property manager, the office managers are extremely RUDE. When you call them with a problem they act like you are bothering them -- I once talked to one of them about one of the above issues, and her response was "Well what do you want me to do about it." The woman who used to work for them and live in the complex quit and does not live there any more, and I can't blame her. We can't wait to move out. They offer a $250 bonus for referring friends to the complex, and I wouldn't refer any of my friends to live here for any amount of money.
