Expect fees and management worth being homeless over...

I have lived here for two years and at the end of my lease I am not renewing. I do not care if I find another apartment in time or not, I will live in my car If I have to. I cannot stand it here anymore.
The apartment itself is not to bad really. For its price.
If your desperate enough for a home and can handle things like roaches, mice, noise, and a parking lot that might as well be gravel at this point.
The noise travels through the pipes in the bathroom and I can hear the neighbors doing their business. Thats always a joy to wake up to in the morning. The walls are super thin, its an old building so these things you really cant avoid.
At one point a mouse crawled under my cabinet and died. I then was invaded but countless flies and maggots under my oven. I had maybe 5 Fly papers hanging all over my apartment and anyone who came over would kill at least 3 to 7 flies just sitting on the couch. I'm still finding dead ones, luckily it got cold enough to kill them all. After that was over a roach crawled out of my sink while I was doing dishes. I freaked out and called them to set traps and the problem went away, came back, went away.
Maintenance varies. Sometimes I get help right away and they are nice. Other times I get no help and they make things worse.
I called about water dripping from my ceiling after getting new upstairs neighbors. No one came. A few days later my neighbor downstairs came to me and asked if my tub was leaking. Turned out the pipes from the 3rd floor ended up leaking down to the basement and there had to be construction and repair from water damage. Leaving the laundry room useless and a large hole in the ceiling. I still have water damage in my ceiling that they wont fix. All this could have been avoided if they did more than come over and poke a hole in my ceiling with a screw driver and watch the water stream into my tub.
Another leakage story, my neighbor below called for leaking, the maintenance crew came into my house without asking or warning and "fixed" my toilet. In the process knocking over all everything on my sink and tearing up a corner of tile on my floor that I had to call and MAKE them fix. I would have moved my things and not have anything broken if I knew they were going to come in my bathroom while I was at work.
The key constantly is breaking inside my door and I end up having to sit in the hallway for hours waiting for someone to show up and let me in. I then have to find a way to go in and out of my house while waiting for them to make me a new key, that I have to go pick up during office hours. (Which by the way are constantly changing and are always terrible). The front door is broken sometimes doesn't close and they key doesn't work in the front. You have to go in the back door.
With all of these problems and more the biggest issue is the management. They are atrocious! In two years I have worked with 4 different people "in charge" of my account because they are "no longer with us". People don't even want to work for the management. They don't inform you of things they say they will. They charge for everything. They have to have a letter for every little thing, I can see how this is good for record keeping. If they kept a record... Half the time they cannot find my file. "Ill call you back in a few minutes" could take days and I usually call back and say hey, wheres my service.
As I said, for its price it is not that bad of an apartment. Its not that terribly unsafe but I wouldn't walk around outside in the dark without a knife on me for protection and don't cross the street, Someone tried to purchase me at the 711, I am most definitely not for sale.
Noise, bugs, parking is all things you have to suffer with through any apartment. Mount Prospect Place is cheap for a reason, and I just cant see paying what I do for that kind of service anymore. I am gone, good riddens.
