I would strongly encourage anyone looking to rent an apartment at Amli of Naperville to do some research and look around before making a decision to rent there. The apartments themselves are not bad at first sight. The pool and clubhouse aren't bad either. That's where the good qualities about the apartment complex end. The bushes are overgrown around the complex and I have rarely seen the landscaping crew cut them back.....maybe twice in the two years I lived there. There is a plague of rabbits all over the property. So many in fact that the grass is actually littered with rabbit droppings as far as the eye can see.(Bad if you're a pet owner) Speaking of pets, there is an extra non-refundable deposit for having a pet in addition to an added "pet rent" every month. Good luck trying to get your deposit back if you have a pet...even if you kept your apartment and carpeting spotless. The walls are very, very thin. My apartment was infested with house ants and maintenance responded after about five calls to the leasing office only to put down a few ants traps which I could have done myself. I know of 3 cases where an apartment flooded due to old hot water heaters and management refused to replace the carpeting, or reimburse the tenant for damaged property. Parking is an issue, be prepared to deal with that. Every Spring since I've been here there have been a rash of break-ins involving cars and apartments.....dont believe me'.........call Naperville Police Department. Last but not least.......the Staff is HORRIBLE!!! Good luck dealing with the complex manager (Sandy). Plan on calling her 5 times to get an issue handled and she is very rude and unprofessional. I would suggest calling corporate downtown. The staff has been turned over 4 or 5 times since I'ved lived there, not a good sign. Did I mention that a package involving sensitive work material was given to another tenant' OH...and they blamed that on me..... RENTER BEWARE!!!!

Sounds like your typical Amli apartment complex. For those of you looking to rent from an AMLI complex, realize that AMLI is only interested in ONE thing...your rent check on the first. They care NOTHING about customer service!!! My advice? Look at other apartment complexes before you rent at an AMLI. Check out the complexes on Eola Drive, and across the street from the Aurora Post Office. You might also want to do some research on apartments further west...St. Charles, Geneva, Yorkville...as long as they aren't AMLI properties.
