Here is the issue. I had a unit that from day one had furnace problems, which they came to repair over a dozen times, never really fixing the real problems (of and out dated furnace that was not generating sufficient BTUs to heat the apt). I had a crack in the foundation that added to the problem, since it crossed the heating duct and allowed the furnace to blow the carpet up in the master bedroom. This crack also allowed ants to enter my home DURING THE WINTER (since we were providing the heat for their colony). We also had a nasty flea problem in the summer, which like the ants, took several calls to get anything done about. In my final month, the furnace broke down 5 times in 3 weeks, resulting in a heating and electric bill 3 times the normal. This could be attributed to the season (as they claim) but at the time, I was the only one in my family in the residence for the last 2 months. During the last 2 months, the first bill (for the coldest month) for electric $32.19 and the gas $32.50, bill for the month the trash furnace constantly went out was $107.42 and gas $97.46. Now here is the biggest warning I can offer to everyone, THEY CLAIMED THIS WAS NORMAL for this time of year. They must have forgotten that I had lived there for a year, and experienced colder months.


The apts could be nice, but they need LOTS of work and management that is willing to do what it takes to make these places livable. I am using every resource available to me to let those who are interested know what to expect. Once they got you, you had better be happy with the way things are, because they will not invest to keep happy tenants.
Oh, two more things, 1) The conference room they show you in the initial tour is for their use only. I tried reserving it for a Saturday and was turned away (even though I was told it was reserved). 2) I could mute my TV and then surf and find the exact channel my upstairs neighbor was watching. HOW' By listening to what I heard (every night) through the ceiling. Unfortunately, this individual like to vacuum at odd hours of the morning (2am) and not much was done after SEVERAL complaints to management. Guess they don??t like rocking the boat.
