I know that since I'm giving a positive review the complainers out there are going to assume I work for the apartment company, but oh well. I lived in a one-bedroom apartment on the first floor with my wife for two years. We went with the first floor because we hate stairs (use to live in a third-floor walk-up). We were worried that we would hear a lot of noise above us, but this has only been an issue about 5 times, and only because the people above us were clearly dropping very heavy objects repeatedly (maybe using weights or something).

My wife loves the things we have here that we didn't have at our other apartment when we lived in the city - dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer and dryer, gas range and carpeting for that matter (we're not in to old hardwoods). I like that fact that it is mostly adults who live here. There seems to be a large contingency from India in this complex and the one across the street - Railway Plaza, but they are very nice, quiet people. Luckily there is also ban on cooking with "pungent spices", so we don't have to contend with the constant smell of curry powder.

Overall, we do love living here. We get to walk to the Route 59 train station to get downtown (takes about 10 minutes to walk to the inbound side of the tracks) instead of driving up Route 59 and dealing with all the traffic. And since both my wife and I work we like that we can pick up our packages after work.

Many people complain that it is difficult to get their security deposit back, but my wife and I cleaned the entire apartment and got back all but $10. I think most people just aren't cleaning the place well enough (it should take at least half a day to clean if you do it right). We did rent month to month for a while and it was much more expensive than the normal rent. My only other beef is that they don't water the grass around the apartments, only the small patch in front of the leasing office.

I would highly recommend these apartments for young families. Just try to get in the South buildings: they seem to have less pets and low-income housing folks and will shorten your walk to the train.

i would sue the managment and the owners for discrimination ... those pungent spices are part of a persons heritage and culture... so im glad i dont live there... it seems as if the management are facists

"i would sue the managment and the owners for discrimination" Who are you, the ACLU? I love how litigation is everyone's solution for everything. Bans on pungent spices are put in places for the same reason as bans on smoking in the building. Spices such as curry don't just make the hallways smell, they permanently attach to carpets and other fabrics and require complete replacement to fix. All apartments I have lived in have had similar rules for both the comfort of other renters and for the good of their property. You can't expect to live in an apartment complex and do whatever you want. That's what home ownership is for.

This is not a low income housing building
