No retention = empty apartments

Living here for almost 5 years, I've thought about moving and just never done it because it's a pain. I would have appreciated some recognition from the management for being a long time devoted resident. Perhaps extra amenities or a rent bonus of some sort... they're so focused on attracting new residents with promotions (that don't work), they don't focus on the people already living there.
I must say, however, that the floor plans are very nice and have contributed to my not wanting to move so quickly.
While I, too, have had problems with some of the staff, I must tell you that not all of the staff fit into that category. While some are very discourteous and unethical and should consider getting out of the business, others are very pleasant to work with and are always accommodating of your needs.
Also, my rent has only increased $105 a month in 5 years, which is only about 2% a year.... can't beat that!
