We moved into Brittany Springs a short while ago. Thus far there have been no problems. It's unfortunate that others have had poor experiences with this complex and feel the need to berate it- you can't please everyone all of the time...

Our move in was smooth, Denise Peterson our leasing agent was pleasant enough (though Denise hunny I gotta tell ya- you're a beautiful woman and you don't need all that make up). Our apartment had new carpet in it when we arrived and everything was in working/satisfactory condition- some of the tiles in the bathroom had scratches but I'm not one to flip out over something piddly like that. The leasing co will paint one wall for you before you move in- I thought that was a nice touch. I love that there's an indoor and outdoor pool- the fitness center is always clean and in good repair. I love the free classes offered at the fitness center on Tuesdays. The center courtyard-y/green space behind the pool house is a nice place to walk your dog.

Let me just clear the air on one thing- there are NO section 8 tenants at this place- it's waaaaaaaay too expensive. I grew up in section 8 housing- this company wouldn't accept section 8 and the gov't would never pay for this place even on a reduced basis... I guess to some people if you're not rich and white then that qualifies you as "Section 8" somehow... whatever. I've enjoed all the people that live in the complex I've encountered. Thus far everyone has been courteous, polite and friendly.

I live in a ground floor aparment and yes you can hear the neighbors above doing the nasty when their bed squeaks- but that's the same the world around when it comes to apartment housing- as for the people on the two sides of us- I've never heard anything coming from their apartments.

As a dog owner the best part is that there are little stations all over the place with free baggies- so there's no reason not to pick up after your dog... As a matter of fact that was a big selling point for me since I hate carrying around baggies! I haven't noticed any poo not being picked up- but I have noticed some bald patches from dogs repeatedly peeing on the same spot in the grass...

The only thing I could say that could be improved is maintenance- they said they were resurfacing the parking lots then postponed it a bunch of times, that they were repainting the exterior but only the trim was redone, I called for maintenance once and it was taken care of immediately.

When we move out I'll be sure to put up another post- but in the meantime- just remember- take everything you read on here with a grain of salt. Everything is subjective.
