I lived in Brookdale Lakes for a year. In the beginning, everything seemed fine. I was on the 1st floor and had a large dog (who would run the length of the apt)in the apt. above me along with two women who loved to stomp around at all hours or sit on their patio talking on the phone at 4:00 am. While taking a shower, my shower head broke off to the point I could not fix it. I called the office and was told I would have to wait 5-7 days because they had to order a new shower head. Was I not supposed to take a shower in the meantime' I went to the store and purchased a new shower head myself. The hallways in our apt. were never clean and I counted at one time, 4 lights (in the hallway) were out and remained out until I moved. Also, watch out when you move out. I turned in my keys, received a letter stating I would be receiving my deposit back which I received shortly after. Then I received a letter from Dan stating he missed some damages from my dog in the apt. and they put a stop payment on my deposit refund. Now they are trying to charge me a whole lot of money to replace the carpeting. The office workers are too busy to actually complete their work adequately and the tentents/former tentents suffer from their mistakes. I have tried to talk to the corporate offices on this matter but they seem to be worse than the actual office. One additional thing...the parking there is terrible unless you have a garage. The streets are too narrow for the cars to be parked there. I saw two unoccupied, parked cars that had been hit and both drivers drove away. Can't forget about the rent....when you move in, the office offers a pretty good deal but when it comes time to renew your lease, they raise the rent. Our rent for a one bedroom was going to be over $1000/month...RIP OFF!
