The management of Brookdale Lakes mishandled everything from the day I applied for a lease. AIMCO management company is in business for one reason only: to make money. The AIM in AIMCO is to skimp and pinch pennies so much that corporate profits soar to new heights. The pool was regularly shut down by the health department for improper chemical levels, light bulbs in common hallways were broken or burnt out and never changed, the jacuzzi was closed for 8 of the 12 months I lived there because there was a leak in the system somewhere that they wouldn't spend the money to fix, my apartment was never painted before I moved in but they still charged me for repainting when I moved out, they will nitpick on every stupid detail of the place when you move out in an attempt to keep your security deposit, there were water leaks in the building that dripped water on the hood of my car in the garage for 8 months, parking is scarce and abandoned cars take up precious spaces with no action on their part for almost a whole year. I have nothing good to say about this company or this property. Stay away from AIMCO. They collect rents and deposits like the place is a castle but they maintain it like the projects.
