Not a bad place!

I've lived here under a year, but have seen the management change for the better (same company, just different faces). The office girls are friendly and helpful (especially Amy and Angel) and know you by name. They always have a smile on their face (especially when I hand over my rent check :-))And an important note: While there may be a lot written rules and such (just like any other place), the coolest thing I've found is that the office staff will work with you on just about any issue you have. It's a great feeling that you're able to deal with a few people and not some big management corporation (although a big corp owns the place).

Parking can be pretty tight at night, but many people just seem to park on the street when they can't find a spot, so it's not a real big issue--A little walk doesn't hurt most people.

Grounds are pretty well kept.

Price: Well, it's more than I'd like to pay, but that's what happens when a bunch of people want to move here---they raise the prices to what the market will bear. (I thought about writing a bad review so that people wouldn't move here and they'd have to lower prices, but I didn't think that'd help me in the short-term).

Inside: Decent. Carpet is a bit old in my unit, but it was clean when I moved in. Watch out if you live above a person that smokes--closing the windows doesn't stop the smoke smell from reaching your unit. Holy cow, the AC/Furnace unit is loud! (But it works fine). Although there is one water heater for the building, I have *never* had an issue with running out of hot water. The kitchen is a bit small if you like to cook a lot. Your clothes never have to leave the bedroom, as the washer and dryer are in the bedroom closet! The balcony railing is rotting, but the balcony is still a nice place to sit.

Common areas: Ok, I admit, it's summer now and school is out, but be aware that the common areas (courtyards, sidewalks) seem to have become a babysitter replacement for several parents for the majority of the day. The kids appear to not be causing too much trouble, but I have not seen much parental supervision.

The pool: Teen hangout on the weekend nights (not my thing), but otherwise, not a bad place to relax at other times. I was impressed that the hot tub water was replaced several times a month (according to the maintenance guy).

I've lived in the area for a while and love it. Everything I need is close by. Watch out for Route 59 traffic, but most other roads aren't bad.

Cheers.
