Fairly Good Apartments

My wife and I moved into Country Lakes in August 2002, and we have been happy for the most part. Our neighbors are nice but keep to themselves. The unit we live in is extremely quiet, which is a pleasant surprise as we live in a dog building. Our view onto the golf course is beautiful, and the apartments are within walking distance (1/2 mile) from the Route 59 Metra station. The parking is usually ample. We have found a couple of drawbacks. I will agree with other reviewers that maintenance could be better -- it took 5 days to get someone out to look at our broken dishwasher. There is a lot of dog waste on the premises as well, even though dog owners are required to pick up after their pets. The biggest drawback for us is that high speed internet is not available at this time. Although AT&T Broadband is in the area, Country Lakes cannot get it for some reason. DSL is also not an option. For the price, however, I would recommend the apartments.
