No Longer Feels Safe

During the past few years we have watched the quality of the place decline. When the new management came in (AIMCO), they got rid of the staff that liked working there and hired staff that hate people. They are constantly running specials to fill the place up and letting anyone move in.
Maintenance may be quick to respond, but slow to actually do any work. There have been times where a maintenance worker would stop in then come back two days later to do work.
The police are on a first name basis with several of the residents as they have to make frequent trips. It is rare that a week goes by without the police arresting someone on the property. The cars are not safe in the parking lots as vandalism is on the rise. I have had the air let out of my tires as have several other residents. One card had a brick thrown through the windshield recently.
The buildings are old and the nails are starting to push out through the many layers of paint. I have paint chipping all over and the maintenance staff will not touch up the paint unless I pay for it. There is water leaking in from the roof and maintenance repainted the ceiling as a "fix". Two days later the paint was peeling there again.
The secure outside doors do not close and lock properly. There are drug dealers living and selling on the property. Many of their clients do not live in the area and are often seen roaming around. I want to leave this place as soon as I can and cannot wait for my lease to end.
I would recommend a cardboard box before I would recommend this place to anyone.
