I was one of the people who read these reviews prior to moving in and didn't listen. How true ALL of the negative comments are. If you can, move anywhere else but here. At least once a month I would see used condomns and or empty beer cases in the parking lots. The parking is amble but they are poorly paved. Neighbors are very strange. I'm not sure what the people do up stairs but they are annoying and loud at all hours of the day. Maintenence is excellent but they have to be because they have to keep coming back to fix the same thing over and over again. Hallways are usually dirty and smell and the light go out quite often and are never fixed as quickly as they should be. Living on a golf course has it's perks during the evening but as far as the day time goes there is no privacy and I've seen golfers peeing by the trees and when you call the club house to mention it and they totally shrug it off, like who cares. The walk to the train station is about 15 minutes, it was nice at first but then I realized that during the summer there was broken glass all over the sidewalks by the HUD or Sec. 8 housing on the corner of Fairway Dr. & North Aurora (NE Corner). They also do not know how to shovel the side walk in the winter and I found myself walking in the street to get to work. Country Lakes isn't very quick to plow either, very sloppy and slow. I could continue on and on but I think the other comments made are also my problems with this place as well.
Don't give County Lakes a chance.....don't settle. You'll find something much better. I wish I would have listened to these comments and I could have lived in a much better place for the last two years.
