OK but a few hassles

If you are in a crunch and need a place to stay for month then maybe Doro is for you.
The furnishings are a bit worn, but clean. The biggest issue is the utilities. The central air and heating systems are very old and poorly maintained. I had ac bills over $150 just running it at night. I know of another person who paid over $220 to heat one of these in the winter. Connie has a strange setup with the city as well so you end up paying a deposit and she keeps your deposit until Naperville Electric says you have paid.
The second issue is the little notes they leave. The tone can be irritating and with a month to month apartment you would expect less than 14 day notice to vacate. So you end up signing paperwork all the time.
The maid service is not really maid service. She really just vaccums and keeps the mold off the shower walls. If you leave things on the counter on "her" days you may get note asking you not to.
Also if you have a visitor to the apartment (more than 2 people even small children, in a one bedroom) she charges you extra for each day they are there. Not a good option for visiting families of business people.

I stayed at D'ORO before and I thought it was a great deal to only pay $15 a night for visitors who came in to town. She opens the 2nd bedroom, which has 2 twin beds in it, and a 2nd bathroom, for the minimal fee - lots cheaper than if they had to stay at a hotel!
