A "perception" and the "truth" can really be two entirely diffent things. I recently came into contact with the staff at Fairways and found them to be highly professional and courteous. Having lived in many states, and in a couple dives while in college, I can tell you that Fairways is so much better than many places I've seen. I noted one resident harping about Patti with her door closed all day. I thank god that the property managers never sat with thier doors opened when I ran into difficulty in the past, and couldnt pay on time, or when I called to complain against a noisey or inconsiderate neighbor. And for the one comment concerning the pool attendant, I would love to see his performance record to see whats in it, before I bought into that. I found Patti to be a class act, intelligent, dedicated, with a life away from the property,no doubt. Bottom line is some people can be fed anything, but character assination is ugly, and customer service is the hardest form of work anymore. When a manager isnt liked by everyone, then that is a clear sign that they are doing thier job. The apartments are nice, the grounds look good, and the staff seem very professional. What more could one ask for'

The original comment above must have been written by Patti herself, a friend or realtive, or someone she's messing around with behind close doors (which is not unheard of with her track record of trying to get into tenants and co-workers pants). If you would like to know the performance record of the pool attendant ask Juan I'm sure he would be glad to tell you since the attendants at that time were under Juan. I have been in customer service for a long time now and I feel that Patti has been the worst person that I have ever come across in the "Customer Service Field". She's the one that gives us the bad name. All I can say is Thank God for Julie otherwise I don't think my family and I would have ever made it through our contract. I feel the same way as a couple of people that have written Posts on here. Give Julie the job already and be done with it. She would do such a better job. And as far as Patti's chest goes. There's a way to look classy and a way to look trashy. Everytime she takes the trashy route. Husbands barely give her a second glance so that comment about "fear of the husbands noticing her" is a farce talking about a joke. This has nothing to do with an "ax to grind with Patti" this is just facts. The only thing that I can agree with the posting above is that the Maintenance guys and Julie are awesome they deserve the KUDOS the most. Please do not read too much into the postings above as the wool has been pulled over their eyes.

WoW! What a lively, yet cordial debate. I'ts good to see people agree to disagree. Property Manager has to be the toughest job in the world. Julie is a very nice person. If Julie were to succeed in that job, it would'nt be long before her name would appear here, first being called a traitor, then worse. Fair, firm, friendly, every good property manager Iam able to remember had those qualities. Personally, I like Patti, but perhaps she is getting more attention than any one person deserves. Rumor has it that they are getting ready to hire a new maintenance guy soon. My husband has friends that say the new guy made a name for himself and is well known in Chicago, flippin condo's and that he is a master craftsman. They say he has two Silver Stars from the first war in the Gulf, or something like that. We also heard that he retired from the service and is looking to settle here. Juan and this guy should be a pair. As far as the pool attendants record, Jaun is not the type to disclose any ones performance that doesnt have a need to know. This really is a good place to live. Who wouldnt trade it for a single family home though? I would like to think the negative comments are not true, but who am I to judge anyone?

I find this very interesting. Before moving to the Fairways I did some research on this site and surprisingly many property managers and staff have been verbally attacked. I don't know if it is disgruntled employees, people that didn't follow the rules and were evicted or just unstable people to begin with. If I had an issue with any personnel I would contact the corporate office with documentation of my issue, not air it on a message board. For the record, there is nothing in any of these messages that claim the Fairways to be a "bad place' just a lot of character assasination on a woman who in my opinions appears to be doing her job. I have been here for four months and have found the Fairways as a whole to be a wonderful place to live, even my husband likes Patti, and he is a good judge of character.

I was pretty surprised when I happened to run accross this site. I was amazed to see the content of emails above concerning the staff. I have lived at the Fairways for the past two and a half years, and other than paying my rent or an occasional problem, I have really not have that much contact with them. I consider this a good thing. My work hours are such that I really am not around the same time they are and if I was seeing a lot of them, it would no doubt mean that I was having some serious problems with the apartment that would make it necessary to be in constant contact with the staff. For the record, the few problems I have had since moving in here have been dealth with quickly and professionally by the staff. The apartments are well kept and in a great location. Noise is very minimal. In my opinion, these are the important issues, not the personal attacks on the staff.

"I would contact the corporate office with documentation of my issue, not air it on a message board." FYI this is useless. The guy at corporate is vindictive prick. I was having a ton of issues when I used to live here. I reported them to corporate and a week later they threatened to tow my car on a technicality that hadn't been enforced in the three years I had been there. Go figure. Most of the stuff above is just asinine however and has little bearing on the actual quality of residence or service one can expect to receive. Ultimately the reader needs to keep the following in mind when reading these: The management changed from a woman who was well known and well liked (and did a good job. That bid about "if they don't like you, you are doing something right" is idiocy) to a new team that had some early trouble, and then didn't handle that early trouble well. However, it is very likely they have gotten more into their groove and are handling things better now. Caveat Emptor as always.

O.K. plain and simple the fairways was awesome before they made the mistake of letting Peggy go! the people that followed just plain lacked management skills and seriously lacked customer service. yes patti had to write the original post above!! But thank-god for Amanda, she's awesome, this is the first time I have been happy here since Peggy left.
